Timi is an eight-year old boy living in the small village of Koko with his brothers, his seamstress mother and his fisherman father. His family is too poor to send him to school and hopes that he will grow up to be a fisherman, too. But Timi has a secret: he dreams of becoming a teacher and seeing the world.
One day, a man comes to Koko with an exciting plan. Can the whole town come together to help make Timiʼs dream come true?
Fatima Akilu has written a lively story, with beautiful illustrations by Mustapha Bulama, about how access to education can change the life of one child.
Make sure to grab yourself a copy for Christmas and look out for rest of the series.
