Ankara Press -- Coming Soon

Ankara Press Romance series

Later this year, we’ll be launching Ankara Press, a romance novella imprint. Ankara Press will showcase today’s modern African women in all their strength and complexity while throwing out some of the old stereotypes of the genre. Many of us grew up reading classic romances with forceful heroes and pliant heroines and we know that those role models no longer work. In fact, many of those old-school romances relied on dangerous notions of male dominance, control and manipulation that have done great harm to women all over the world. In many cases, women tolerate abusive situations because they wrongly believe that this is what romance should look like. In Ankara Press stories, independent, capable women meet handsome, charming men who respect their choices and are turned on by their strength, their beauty and their passions. Look out for these easy-to-read, purse-size novellas later this year (in print and digital editions).

Look out for our new website and blog in the next few months!

It’s going to be a big year for us at Cassava Republic. We hope it will be for you too!
