Discussing peace on International Literacy Day

Thursday, September 8th is International Literacy Day and to mark the occasion, The Knowledge Exchange Network, KEN, has planned an interactive chat between lovers of literature and selected members of the media at Pen & Pages Bookstores, White House Plaza, (Near Amigo Superstore), on 79, Adetokunbo Ademola Crescent, Wuse II, Abuja, by 4 pm.

This year's theme is 'Literacy for Peace' so discussions will focus on the recent spate of terrorist attacks and religious unrest which have been rising in the last few years all over Nigeria. Reporters and editors from media outlets across the country will join members of the public to find creative ways to make our nation, and our world, more peaceful and literate.

Come and make your voices heard!

  • Interesting agenda for a literacy day. I believe there is a correlation between literacy and peace. A positive correlation.
