MDGs' series kick off with a launch

On Tuesday, 25th January the office of the Millennium Development Goals, Nigeria, in partnership with Cassava Republic Press, held the launch of its children’s books series at the Transcorp Hilton in Abuja.

The eight books written by Fatima Akilu and illustrated by Mustapha Bulama and Alexander Amulu, relate the United Nation's MDGs in a visually appealing and engaging way.

It was a fun-filled day of skits, readings and food. Special guests included Minister of Education, Prof. Ruquyyatu Rufa’i, Hajiya Amina Az-Zubair, Senior Special Assistant to the President on the MDGs, and Abiola Sanusi, Educator and Principal Consultant with Riplington & Associates.

Kudos to Dr. Akilu, the Office of the Millennium Development Goals, Nigeria, and a big thank you to everyone who attended.

We wish you could have been there.

We will post photos soon.

  • I’m glad I was there and it was great. Congratulations.
