Six African Authors nominated for 2011 IMPAC



On Black Sisters Street by Nigerian author Chika Unigwe and five other books by African writers have been nominated by libraries around the world for the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award.  According to the website it is the largest prize of its kind and is open to books written in any language.

The other books are:

- In the United States of Africa by Abdourahman Waberi

- Broken Glass by Alain Mabanckou

- Black Diamond by Zakes Mda

- A Man Who is Not a Man by Thando Mgqolozana

- Sunset Oasis by Bahaa Taher
